Apartment hunter: different from a real estate agent?

Having trouble finding an apartment that really suits you? What if you went through an apartment hunter? Small presentation!

Finding a good plan when looking for accommodation is sometimes like looking for a needle in a haystack. So, when you don't have time and you have to work and take care of a family, it almost becomes mission possible. Hence the interest of asking a little help from a professional. And yet, many are wary of real estate agencies. And why not go through an apartment hunter? We tell you everything about what could be the right plan to find the property you need!

Hunter or real estate agent, what's the difference?

The apartment hunter trend emerged in the United States. Indeed, for a long time, many families had great difficulty finding the type of property they were looking for. And real estate agencies did not treat all their customers the same. Thus, it sometimes took up to a year to find a property that would really suit! This is why some real estate agents have started their own business. Their ambition? Help their client find their dream apartment faster than an agency.

Offer a real boost, focus on one client rather than a dozen of them, start looking for a specific property rather than offering those in a pre-established portfolio, there are so many differences between an apartment hunter and a real estate agent. Something to reassure individuals who are having trouble finding the apartment or house they really want.

This new trend gradually developed in the United Kingdom and then finally in Europe. Made famous by a TV show, this new real estate service should help you finally find the property that suits you!

You pay when you sign!

For individuals, this solution should be much more satisfactory than that of real estate agents. Indeed, we too often have the impression when we contact a real estate agency that it is doing us a favor. We call back several times, we try not to be forgotten and, as a result, we sometimes spend more than 6 months waiting without ever having any proposals for a property that really suits. Would you like a three-room apartment? Here we are offering you a loft with a separate bedroom… What you want to turn to other solutions probably more suitable!

Calling on an apartment hunter means calling on a real estate specialist who, rather than multiplying clients, devotes himself to one or two clients at most. Its role? Establish your needs and your desires with you, then start looking for the property that corresponds. He then comes back to you to present the properties he has selected and which suit your specifications.

The other benefit? You only pay your apartment hunter once he has found the property you really like. No more months of waiting without news!

Be careful though

Nevertheless, this profession is not yet fully regulated. You could therefore come across rogue ads. So be a little suspicious and favor platforms connecting individuals and apartment hunters or agencies that already have a great experience and 'recognized know-how. This way, you won't risk being fooled by a hunter who does not hunt apartments so much as wallets...

For that, a little reminder. It is illegal to ask you for a deposit check before visiting the apartment. So beware of anyone asking you for a deposit before they've shown you an apartment and before you've signed anything.
